NZEC Newsletter - April 2021
Kia ora from the NZEC team,
In this newsletter, we update you on our streamlined underwriting processes for our short-term trade credit insurance, as well as our published annual report. Our team is involved in a range of exporter seminars over the coming weeks, which we plan to replicate across the country. Our LinkedIn account is also a good way to track our team’s engagement around the country.
Streamlined underwriting for trade credit insurance
Since 1 April 2020 when the impacts of COVID-19 resulted in increased applications for NZEC support, over 75% of our policies have been approved via a streamlined underwriting process.
This includes our top-up cover coinsurance, where we provide top-up cover that matches your primary insurer’s cover (up to an additional $1 million credit limit) without requiring your buyer’s financials. Read here for more information on this process.
NZEC Annual Overview 2019/20
Earlier this year we published an overview of the performance of NZEC during the 2019/20 financial year. This includes some case studies of exporter support, as well as our key financial and non-financial results. To read the report click here.
