NZEC Newsletter - December 2020
Kia ora from the NZEC team,
2020 has been a different and unexpected year to say the least. Covid 19 has changed and impacted a lot of lives and we are impressed by the resilience of New Zealanders. We were very proud to be able to help support New Zealand businesses export with confidence during this uncertain period. If you think your business or someone you know could benefit from our assistance please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Our last newsletter of the year includes a case study about how our loan guarantee helped fund a capital investment, how NZEC is supporting agritech exporters, staff updates, and our office contacts over the holiday closure period.
We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and we look forward to being in contact in 2021.
Loan Guarantee enables scrap metal exporter to expand
Read how Global Metal Solutions sought a creative solution to finance the purchase of a multi-million dollar metal shredder to boost its productivity and export sales.
Growing Agritech Exports
The Government recently released an Agritech Industry Transformation Plan which aims to grow New Zealand’s agritech sector through business, research and Government collaboration.
NZEC’s services are aligned with this Plan, and our Agritech brochure summarises how our different solutions have helped a range of agritech exporting companies enter new markets and deliver larger projects.
Staff changes and updates
After over eleven years of service our Head of Underwriting, Kim Tate, retired in mid-October. We thank him for all his contributions to the team and wish him the best in his retirement.
We congratulate Feliza Blanch, one of our Senior Underwriters, who has been promoted to the Head of Underwriting.
We are in the process of finalising a new underwriter to the team and look forward to sharing news of this appointment in the New Year.
