Case Study – Ozone Coffee Roasters
Ozone faced the challenge of funding an international expansion and establishing a bank relationship in the UK. Our guarantee to their New Zealand bank enabled a multi-year loan for Ozone and facilitated a UK bank guarantee. This helped Ozone's growth and consolidation of operations in London, including cafe purchases and production facility relocation. ASB acknowledged NZEC's role in boosting confidence for global expansion. Read the full case study on our website here.

Team Update
The Financing, Infrastructure and Urban Development (FIUD) Director and former Head of Export Credit Chris Chapman has decided to take a sabbatical for five months to travel with his family. This is exciting news, and we wish Chris and his family the best during their travels. In his absence, Geraldine Treacher will be stepping into the role of Acting Director. Congratulations to Geraldine and we look forward to working alongside her in her capacity as Director.
Our Head of Underwriting Feliza is also enjoying some time overseas which has seen Shalene step into the Head of Underwriting position. Shalene joined the team in May of 2023, and in that time has produced a plethora of quality papers analysing the risk of providing Crown backed guarantees to New Zealand businesses exporting globally. Shalene has been a fantastic addition to the team and is acing her time in the bosses’ shoes.
After filling a handful of vacancies across the team in 2023, we are back running at full capacity and steaming ahead in 2024.
